The popularity of classical music

Although great classics do not appear in the charts, and new items are little commented on in society, this genre is undoubtedly close to the hearts of Russians. Many of our compatriots regularly listen to classics. Moreover, the passion for this genre is not limited to the works of outstanding Russian composers Glinka, Borodin, Tchaikovsky, etc.

According to the available data, Fryderyk Chopin is the most listened to classical composer. The Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi, who is especially sympathetic to the Spaniards, also won the hearts of many Russian listeners. Russians are also interested in contemporaries such as the German composer Niels Frahm, or new performers – Catherine Jenkins and the “male soprano” Michael Manyachi.
